Flicker Film Fest

It’s just not the holidays in Austin without a micro-gauge film fest or two, and wouldn’t you know it, tomorrow evening the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown is sponsoring yet another excellent edition of Flicker Austin, the Super-8 and 16mm mini-fest that never ceases to impress. It is, as the Austin Chronicle has duly noted, the best way for local filmmakers to get their work screened regardless of whether they can spell chiaroscuro or, um, not. As if that weren’t already more exciting than a menorah full of flaming pixies, the screening is book-ended by the Sinus Show‘s big X-mas shindig and a Buffy the Vampire Slayer sing-a-long. How can you go wrong? (How can this be right?) Oy vey.
