Gomi on South Congress has been asked by the city to remove their large styrofoam cat head or faces fines.

    I first heard about this from the McMillan Moser column in the Chron, in which it was said that it’s not even known who lodged the complaint. A Public Information (Open Records) Request would take care of that. I don’t personally know anybody who doesn’t love the Gomi cat-head or who hasn’t admired it since its first appearance, over a bit to the west from its current location.

    That cat head really scares me. I used to avoid travel near Mary & 1st when it was located there. When it moved to Congress I was really freaked. Must be a childhood thing.
