So you think you know Austin

Your chance to prove it is on the way, so mark your calendar for Saturday, October 1, the date inaugurating the first Austin community treasure hunt, Austin Found. Registration for the inaugural Austin Found is set to begin on July 18.

Teams of from one to four registered members will travel by foot or by Capital Metro to reach the checkpoints suggested by the cryptic clues. At each checkpoint, a time card will be validated and a clue leading to the next checkpoint will be found.

All checkpoints will be within these boundaries: 45th Street (north), Ben White (south), MoPac (west), and an imaginary line two miles east of I-35.

This year’s beneficiaries will be the Austin Community Foundation and Travis Heights Elementary School.
