Santa Rampage Tonight

If you see a wild mass of Santas gallivanting downtown tonight, don’t think you’re hallucinating. In a tradition called Santacon, Santarchy or in Austin, Santa Rampage, assorted revelers don cheap Santa suits from places like the Oriental Trading Company, and traipse through the streets bar hopping and spreading Christmas cheer. The meet-up tonight is happening at the Hickory Street Bar and Grille at 8th and Congress at 8:30. So either bring your Santa duds or your camera.

    They invaded Casino El Camino last night around 12:30. I managed to get a picture, but it’s a little too dark in there for my little camphone.
