Wild in the streets

This has been one of those weeks when a person needs to keep his / her strength up with the help of the Iron Works (now that the late, lamented downtown Pit is gone). The Technology Wild conventioneers are making repeat visits this week, also. The same faces return, bringing new people with them. One guy being drawn along seemed kind of hesitant, remarking in a dubious tone, “It looks kind of rustic in there, doesn’t it?” It’s usually quite easy to spot UIL visitors or conventioneers around town, even though most participants don’t wear their nametags. But the Wild people have been sporting theirs. They must be just a little more tame than their theme would lead people to expect. The lodging epicenter of wildness has been the Hilton on Fourth, at least for those with the larger travel budgets. The epicenter of BBQ has obviously been the Works.
