Ben White and the Oltorfs have been popping up here and there. I’ve never heard them, but I already loved the Austin-steeped name, even before learning that the musicians bill themselves as Cardinal Lane, Ed “Blues” Stein, Hank Jinx, Fernando Rosewood, Man Chac, and Brodie St. Elmo. Whoever they really are, I’m guessing that they’re from South Austin, mostly, with Rosewood hailing from the Eastside.
