Avant Garde Fashion Designer Stows Away on Plane for SXSW
Just when you thought things had started getting out of hand for SXSW, we find out that avant garde artist and designer Catherine “Cat” Chow snuck into an airplane bathroom on a flight from St. Louis to Austin when she learned that the flight she was on standby on was full [via]. Not only did she do that–she was also carrying 4.2 grams of marijuana. From the Statesman: “Chow told authorities she ‘knew what she did was wrong, but wanted to meet with her friends in Austin . . . to participate in the South by Southwest activities,’ the documents said.”
A Web search reveals Chow (a “Hello Kitty” fanatic) to be quite a creative fashion designer who creates her clothes using everyday items like “measuring tape, reams of zippers, and Power Rangers trading cards.”
wow. this chick looks pretty cool. she should totally ditch st. louis and move to austin.
