Way beyond

There’s Bed. There’s Bath. And there’s Beyond. And then there’s the Way Beyond department where Adam Sandler’s character encounters Christopher Walken, who, as the mysterious Morty, makes him an offer he can’t refuse, of a free, life-changing mysterious gizmo. If you don’t like Adam Sandler, consider passing Click by. If you love Christopher Walken, don’t miss it. David Hasselhoff shines as only he can, in a self-parodistic fashion. The movie ventures into male-weepie territory in the last half hour or so, but what precedes it certainly has its moments, many of them crude and more of them comic.
