The previews promote the false notion that Little Miss Sunshine is a mild and mildly funny family comedy. In fact, this movie had the audience roaring, and it’s a sarcastic, but soft-hearted, look at family life, upbeat “success” programs, “senior rest homes,” academic life, child beauty pageants, and more, with sterling acting by everyone in the cast, right down to the small cameos. We almost passed this one by and that would have meant missing a lot of fun.
