Only four dollars brings two days’ worth of entertainment, with music today until 11 pm and tomorrow from 1 to 10:30 pm. Touring headliners are norteno stars Los Cadetes de Linares tonight at 10 pm and Texas’s own Gary Hobbs tomorrow from 7:30 to 9. Tomorrow will also bring local favorites Johnny Degollado and Grupo Salaman. The music floating over close-in neighborhoods today is from Gran Fiesta Austin at Fiesta Gardens. This is a real bargain. There’s a covered dance floor at the park. The second stage is devoted mostly to folkloric dance troupes. The music stage is sponsored by the Austin Latino Music Association. Booths selling food and beer are there, as well as sponsor tables with swag for adults and kids. Your own folding chairs can be brought into the shade and are more comfortable than the bleachers. This is a real bargain and a fine family event, easy to attend for a while and then return to again. There’s continuous activity on both stages throughout both days.
