Three-day circus

One day’s already over (and no, this isn’t a reference to the city council two-day circus). Circus Chimera is set up over at Pleasant Valley Road by the softball fields, with a 4:30 performance today and shows at 1:30, 4:30, and 7:30 pm tomorrow and Sunday. I’ve been seeing and hearing promotions for this only in the Spanish-language media. This little one-ring show is performing to benefit the Austin Parks and Recreation youth flag football league. The theme is big-top Alice in Wonderland. This is a very intimate production, featuring human, not animal, performers, including one of those gee-terrific acrobatic troupes from China that are so beautiful to see. There are bleacher seats and more comfortable ones.
