Let the record show snow

In the ’04, at 11:10 this morning, the flakes began to fall. And they’re still coming down. It’s not sticking yet and it’s not good packing, but it’s still falling. Also seen are icicles, some of good length, and ruby-crowned kinglets and chickadees out enjoying the weather. Real snow: what a sight! Everybody’s out, faces upturned, catching flakes on the tongue. >>> By 11:50, the snowflakes were clumping. Some were sticking. Some sleet was accompanying the snow. >>> At noon, there was no snow, no sleet, no precipitation of any kind, but there remained as evidence a dusting of the white, a cross between confectioners’ and granulated sugar in appearance and to the touch.

Lovely big flakes of snow fell for about an hour before noon, see short video. It stuck but it was mixed with sleet so we didn’t get much accumulation. About 1:30 the icicles began dripping but they aren’t melting away completely. Temperatures are hovering just at freezing.
