It's also quite amusing that AE recommends against idling vehicles, when its contract meter readers (Corix) can be seen all over town driving vehicles on the wrong side of the street from water meter to water meter and leaving the vehicles idling while the operators step out to read the meter. Back before this service was out-sourced, the same permanent and direct employees would walk the same routes for years.
