Allen Varney’s Paranoia

Cory Doctorow’s posted a pointer to Austin game designer Allen Varney’s notes about his “open source” approach to his revision of the role-playing game Paranoia XP. The game’s so popular it’s listed in Wikipedia. If you don’t know Allen, take a look at his site – he’s an accomplished freelance author of six books and a whole pile of games. He’s also a juggler, and he once attempted a world candy tour for a book he had in mind (I don’t think he ever finished, probably fearing he’d be comatose from munching too many global gobstoppers). He also created the business ethics and leadership simulation, Executive Challenge.
