Pop and bluegrass

indiepop.jpg Among the paletas by SuperMichoacana there were no lime ones, but there was lime sorbetto by Hyde Park’s own Dolce Vita in the case at the counter.

Wow! That was my comment, and the pistachio gelato drew the same review from my companion. The lime was natural in color, with an intense flavor. There were over a dozen flavors in the case; these change, but noted were blackberry and also peach. We’ll be back to Indie Pop on South Lamar, and as soon as possible.

The bonus was a musical aggregation of four. Two faces looked familiar and a third was immediately recognizable as that of Rod Moag, who does the Thursday-morning honors on KO-OP radio with his Country, Swing, and Rockabilly Jamboree show, yesterday playing fiddle and mandolin.

This was the good life Austin-style, at 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon.
