Looking for a fancy meal?

This week I went to Green Pastures, the well known Austin restaurant. If you haven’t been to this place, go! The whole experience, from the winding drive up to the old victorian house, to the show of having a ceasar salad prepared at your table makes this an event dining experience. We started with a bottle of Veuve Cicquot and ended with the bannanas fosters (again, made at our table) and everyting in between was amazing.

I’ve lived in Austin for over two years now and this was my first trip. I’ll definitely keep it on my list for special ocassions.

I really like Green Pastures as well. The food was fantastic on our last visit, served with old-timey charm that was both formal and relaxed. It’s especially nice to stroll with the peacocks across the grounds, forgetting that you’re just a couple blocks from the chaos of Oltorf.
