Curbside
The experiment in mongo disposal included one giant black plastic lawn-and-leaf sack containing bubble wrap, plastic air-filled packing cushions, and a separate, smaller closed sack of styrofoam packing peanuts. It was marked “FREE clean packing materials” in letters legible at most speeds. Joining it at the curb were three large plastic carry sacks from office-supply stores filled with stacked recent issues of magazines (no newsmags and nothing not on glossy, coated paper stock) and one corrugated cardboard carton with additional magazines in the same category standing on end. Stapled to two sides of each container was a large sign with “FREE” painted in giant letters and “
