Austin is beloved
I spent New Year’s in Los Angeles. Everyone I met asked me immediately where I was from (apparently, I have an accent) and when I told them I lived in Austin their eyes brightened and they told me how much they love it here. It was nice to hear such great things about the place we live. I thought I would share the validation that we really do live in a pretty cool little place.
I hear the same sentiment from friends in Fort Worth and Dallas. They’re constantly telling me how lucky I am to live here.
I’ve heard for years about Austin. I live in Australia. Summer here always reminds me of ‘Slacker’. I see Australian bands Franz Ferdinand and Wolfmother are playing Austin. Check them out. Hope ‘Making Dazed ‘comes to Australia.
What was I thinking. Franz Ferdinand are Scottish lads. Can you explain why Austin is such a fun city.
