Hot off the press and soon off the shelves
How To Do Your Own Divorce in Texas is on the “new” shelves at the main library branch right now. Two volumes were available just a few minutes ago. This is one of the titles most frequently stolen all over the system, so those officially married in the eyes of Texas but contemplating a formal split on the cheap should hurry on down before six o’clock today. In other library news, it’s been reported that service interruptions will occur while the new electronic catalogue goes up. Various effects of the change-over will begin today and are expected to last until February 22, when the new system goes into effect. February 22 is also the day when old PINs will no longer work and new ones must be registered.
Also, the city council approved a new location for the library which is not friendly to the needs of the elderly or handicapped users who form a substantial portion of its patrons.
