Trees moth-eaten; trust, not
If the Oak Hill Gazette didn’t find Austinites to be trustworthy, it wouldn’t be this trusting in its sales practices. Anyone can walk right up and take the weekly from the rack without paying, but person after person drops the asked-for two quarters into the slot atop that red coin tube seen in the picture. Current front-page headlines are “Moth Menace Threatens” and “Cat Burglar Still on the Loose in Area.” This is definitely the kind of news that people want to know. It was in Oak Hill that the gypsy moth was recently caught in a trap and where there’s a possibility that a certain area msy be sprayed with bacillus thuringiensis (Travis County will hold a public meeting on the subject at the Oak Hill campus of ACC on Saturday, February 18).
