Went out with a posse to the Alamo Drafthouse’s Boy Band Singalong last night, FINALLY. It was incredible. Everyone in the audience was out of their seats and dancing by the end of the show and every video was met with fangirly screams of joy as if NSync were actually on stage. It’s amazing how many of those video dance moves I remember. The festvities opened with Owen Egerton and Henri Mazza’s apparent side project, Cedar Fever, hittting us with some sweet boy band jams of their own (“Gonna make you nuts/gonna make you crazy/Cedar Fever/wanna have your baby”). Lou Perlman would be proud. The boy band singalong was the most fun I’ve ever had at an Alamo Drafthouse show, and I can’t wait to go back.
