An Austinite in Seattle
Longtime Austinite, MMTyler, has just moved to Seattle–not because she wanted to leave Austin but because an opportunity that could not be denied presented itself. With her usual dogged determination to sniff out a good story whatever the circumstances, she signed up with Metroblogging Seattle. I look forward to her reports from the western frontier because there are times when I’ve considered moving to Seattle (typically in August after 30 days of 100+ degree weather).
In the comments to her first post, other displaced Austinites bemoaned the dearth of breakfast tacos in Seattle. They were longing for Las Manitas.
I wonder what Seattle-ites, displaced to Austin, yearn for?
As a west coast person myself (albeit from the southwest) the thing I still miss after 30 years is mountains.
I’ll be there on Thursday for SXSWi. I can tell you then.
