Where’s my precinct? part two
“They” are at it again. Comment before it’s too late, or your elections precinct may be combined with another and your polling location moved. It’s being called “realignment” this time around, but at least citizen comment is sought. Call Kim Dilling in the county clerk’s elections division at 854-9554 or send comments via e-mail.
Precincts proposed to be combined:
Pct 103 & 121
Pct 147 & 148
Pct 201 & 202
Pct 204 & 207
Pct 217 & 225
Pct 228 & 232
Pct 328 & 329
Pct 360 & 365
Pct 410 & 449
Pct 411 & 414
Pct 439 & 465
Other proposals:
Precinct line proposed to be adjusted in precinct 210
Precincts 375 and 437 proposed to be split in two again
Precincts 451, 463, 466 proposed to be combined to make two precincts
The precinct you save could be your own. The outrage resulting from actions described in Where’s My Precinct?, part 1, have led to the restoration of the status quo in some instances. Speak now if your precinct is up for the kind of realignment that results in bad locations and long lines on Election Day.
Update: E-mail sent to the address given in the press release bounced back (elections@co.travis.tx.us); however, e-mail sent directly to this one (Kim.Dilling@co.travis.tx.us) did not.
